Zahra Jewanjee Receives A Call for New Aesthetics Grant
Zahra Jewanjee has been selected for A Call for New Aesthetics, an international grant supporting artists, architects, and designers working to define visual languages for the twenty-first century. Taking inspiration from historical movements such as the Bauhaus, the initiative seeks to support practices that respond to shifting cultural, technological, and social conditions, and that propose new forms of beauty beyond familiar or widely established aesthetics.
Jewanjee was a resident of NIKA Project Space’s first Open Studio program in Dubai, where she developed new work in close dialogue with the public. Her selection for this initiative marks a continuation of her practice, extending the ideas explored during the residency.
